Huge New Indoor Snow Centre Coming to China’s Wuhan

The Sunac Group, which runs the world’s three largest indoor snow centres, all built within the past five years in China, has unveiled another flagship indoor snow centre project for Wuhan.
The new Changjiang Snow World, due to open in 2024, will be another of the world’s biggest, standing 100 metres high at its highest point and with a 500 metre main slope.

Designed by the CLOU architectural firm, it is being built in the Huangpi district adjacent to Mulan Ancient Town in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, with a population of 12.3 million.
Sunac’s three largest existing indoor snow centres at Harbin, Guangzhou, and Chengdu have combined annual visitor numbers of more than 5 million visitors, making them some of the most popular sports leisure facilities in China.
Changjiang Snow World will operate 24-hours a day, year-round becoming, Sunac intends, a new contemporary landmark of the area. The wider facility will include a variety of entertainment, sports, and retail outlets spread around a central lake.
