The long-awaited indoor snow park at Reem Mall in Abu Dhabi will finally open its doors before the end of summer, according to the mall’s Instagram account.

The centre, is now known as ‘Snow Abu Dhabi’ and “will be the perfect getaway for the UAE summer,” the caption on Instagram declared. 

A specific opening date has yet to be announced however.

The centre has long been billed as “the largest indoor snow park in the world” which appears to be a reference to nearby Ski Dubai’s claim that it has the largest indoor snow park in the world, a claim based on its snow play area rather than the total snow area of the whole building. The Reem Mall complex has been under construction for many years, however so far only a small number of shops have opened within it.
