A new complex, Boulevard Riyadh City, has opened as part of  a festival known as Riyadh Season 2021.

However Boulevard Riyadh City will not end when Riyadh Season 2021 does and will instead become a permanent entertainment hub in the Saudi capital.

Boulevard Riyadh City covers about 900,000 square meters and contains nine areas, each with its own set of events. The areas include restaurants and cafes, gardens, international game centres, festivals and shops.

Special features include Saudi Arabia’s largest cinema, an electric car circuit, four theatres for concerts and shows and 8,000 square metres of electronic screens and a children’s area containing 500 electronic games.

A giant snow slide with multiple courses suitable for all age groups will be available from Nov. 1 to Jan. 11. It’s open from 5pm to 4am daily. The giant snow slide is part of a snow dome that offers winter activities, such as an ice climbing wall, a snow park and ice hockey.

The wider festival has now exceeded one million visitors and made more than 550 million riyals ($147 million) in its first 10 days.
