The largest indoor ski centre in Chongqing, China has opened. Jihua Park is located in the city’s  Liangjiang New Area development.

Built on a 22,000 square metre site, the indoor snow area is 13,000 square metres, putting it in the 20 largest in the world to date.

The snow area is maintained at a constant temperature of -3 to -5℃ throughout the year and has several ski slopes, including a 140 metre long, 35 metre wide main slope with 21 metres of vertical, and a beginner run that’s 100 metres long, 35 metres wide again.

The new ski centre has various themed areas including snow fun and ice parks. With a daily ca[pacity of 5,000 users, it is also the largest to date in  Southwest China.
