Courchevel Experience Temporary Snow Slope Returns to Riyadh

A temporary indoor ski slope has opened in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a second year as the Experience Courchevel zone returns to Boulevard World for the 2025–26 Riyadh Season. The attraction, inspired by the French Alps resort of Courchevel, brings real snow, alpine scenery and a full learn‑to‑ski programme to the Saudi capital.

The snow hall features a beginner‑friendly slope supported by a team of 20 professional instructors, including male and female trainers and a specialist in injury‑management. Operators say demand has grown sharply since last season, when 16,000 first‑timers took lessons and around half progressed beyond the beginner stage. Many visitors initially assumed the venue was a simple snow‑play area, staff said, before discovering a structured training environment with proper equipment, coaching and progression routes.

The zone recreates a winter setting with falling snow, mountain‑themed backdrops, igloos and festive décor. All clothing and equipment are provided on site, along with dedicated changing facilities. A children’s snow‑play area caters to ages five to eight, while older guests can join ski and snowboard sessions. Entry starts at around SAR 60, with additional fees for lessons.

The attraction runs daily from late afternoon to midnight and is reported to be drawing strong crowds throughout the season. Organisers say the concept appeals both to families seeking a break from the heat and to residents wanting to try winter sports before travelling abroad.

The Courchevel‑themed slope operates separately from Snow City at Al Othaim Mall, Riyadh’s permanent indoor snow park.
