Kilde Back on Snow
Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, the Norwegian downhill ski racing superstar has been spotted back on snow, training indoor after a horrific crash in the Lauberhorn Downhill at Wengen last year led to him being unable to race the rest of the 23=24 season. Further post-accident complications led to him missing the 24-25 season too.
Kilde has been back on snow training at Norway’s SNØ indoor centre.
“It’s surprising how relevant indoor training can be, especially in my situation right now,” said Kilde, who is also the fiancé of the most successful ski racer of all time, America’s Mikaela Shiffrin.
“It’s all about getting those repetitions right, trying to learn the motion. Great place to come back from injury. Having the option to do this indoors is pure gold,” Kilde said, adding, with reference to next Winter’s Olympics.
“It would be cool to be top of the world next February, we’ll see.”
