Bonski Group Announce New Indoor Snow Centre

The Bonski Group which operates most of China and the world’s largest indoor snow centres, has announced an agreement with partners to develop Zhejiang Province’s largest flagship indoor ski resort project – Hangzhou Bonski.

The project was unveiling and the first shareholders’ meeting of Hangzhou Xiaoshan Huantou Snow Entertainment Culture Co., Ltd. took place on 13th May. Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang which has a population of 13 million and a history dating back to at least 221 BC. Zhejiand lies on China;’s East coast, just south of Shanghai. The new centre will be the province’s largest indoor ski resort project and named Hangzhou Bonski.

On May 12th, the Hangzhou Bonski project successfully acquired the land and officially settled in the core area of Hangzhou South Railway Station New Town. With a total investment of approximately 1.4 billion yuan ($195m US), the project covers 52 hectares of land and has a total construction area of 84,000 square meters.

The centre will be developed across two sub-plots in the South Railway Station unit, spanning a river. The project integrates multiple land uses including entertainment, retail commerce, and business finance, forming a composite spatial layout centred on “ice and snow theme entertainment and commercial and business supporting facilities.”

“The project will take ice and snow scenes as its core, integrating diverse ski slope experiences, standard ski competitions, ski sports training, parent-child snow entertainment parks, ice and snow amusement performances, ice and snow scene parks, etc. It can realize year-round and all-weather ice and snow sports experiences, serving as a one-stop ice and snow-themed leisure and entertainment destination for people of all age groups,” a statement from the project’s backers claims.

The Hangzhou Bonski project is being developed by Hangzhou Xiaoshan Huantou Snow Entertainment Culture Co., Ltd., which is jointly established by Xiaoshan Huantou Group, Hangzhou South Railway Station Hub Construction and Development Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of the Hangzhou South Railway Station Hub Management Committee), and Chengdu Sunac Snow Entertainment Culture and Tourism Development Co., Ltd.

At their first meeting, representatives from all parties deliberated and voted to adopt key resolutions such as the rules of procedure for the shareholders’ meeting and the board of directors, the articles of association, the project construction management plan, the project operation management agreement, and the full-cycle work plan..
